WATCH: Timbaland speaks on Drake and Chris Brown using Aaliyah’s vocals

Hip-Hop and R&B’s babygirl Aaliyah passed in 2001 and for years her vocals have lived on through her previous recordings which were primarily produced by veteran hit makers Timbaland and R.Kelly, but in recent months there have been an emergence of young artists, who were like 4 and 5 years old when Aaliyah came out in 1993 and were barely teens when she died in 2001, that are starting to use the singers vocals for their new songs claiming that they have always been “fans” of hers…*blank stare*

It doesn’t make sense at all to anyone with a brain that can actually do math but I guess they have good publicists that help encourage the wack excuses that young artists provide for ripping off Aaliyah’s vocals so that they can capitalize off of her name. It appears that producer Timbaland shares a similar sentiment and voiced it in a recent interview with Revolt, see what the hit maker and longtime friend of Aaliyah’s had to say..
