R&B legends Chilli and T-Boz from TLC just held a press conference announcing that they have just signed a new record deal with their former label head and music mogul L.A Reid as part of his new Epic Records label, and they are about to drop a brand new album in October with a new member on deck. Rapper Lil Mama is tapped to join T-Boz and Chilli at the upcoming Mix-tape Festival in Pennsylvania to temporarily fill the shoes of Left Eye and the young femcee is also said to be included on the new upcoming TLC album alongside Drake.
L.A Reid was once part owner of LaFace Records along with Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds who signed the trio back in the early 90’s, so in essence they will be re-signing with the same label that took all their money the first time leaving them bankrupt so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. It’s great to see TLC back on the scene and making major moves and Lil Mama sure has come a long way since her “Lip Gloss” days. Keep an eye out for their VH1 movie dropping soon.
