The south is definitely winning right now in the music game with most artists today trying to emulate the southern sound and country accent, but once upon a time before the Lil Jon era swept the early 2000’s there actually was a time when it wasn’t “cool” to be from the south and northerners usually bashed folks from the bottom as being “country” and “slow” above other things… But the tables have turned shawty…
