Those of us of a certain age can easily say that many of the songs from 90’s R&B girl groups and boy bands somewhat provided the soundtracks to our high school wonder years while also providing the backdrop to many house parties, homecoming dances, proms, and talent shows as we worked our way up through our teens, and whether it was Xscape, Total, Dru Hill, 702, Jodeci, SWV, or any of the others that ruled the airwaves during that era one thing that’s for sure is that we came up during the best time in music hands down…
Even though those days are now long gone and R&B girl groups and boy bands are pretty much extinct, we sometimes still get a taste of some of that throwback soul from time to time when some of our favs dip back into the spotlight to perform a few of those hits and take us on a trip back down memory lane… One of them being Kameelah Williams of R&B Divas Atlanta who performed her 702 classics “Steelo” and “Get It Together” at her live show recently and shook up the 30 somethings crowd by putting a new spin on things…
