WATCH: Now crowned with Oxygen’s highest rated Season premiere of the year the femcee’s of ‘Sisterhood Of Hip Hop’ talk Nicki Minaj and female competition

Before The Oxygen Network birthed the “Sisterhood Of Hip Hop” I remember that about a year ago BET announced that they were doing a reality show following the lives of veteran female MC’s who have made their mark in the rap game, the series was to be titled “Hip Hop Sisters” and had a dope cast line-up that included Yo-Yo, Lady Of Rage, Moni Love, MC Smooth, MC Lyte, and newcomer Lil Mama..

In the meantime we have been handed a group of relatively unknown femcee’s via Oxygen that are clearly geared towards the kids who were born in the 90’s instead of the grown folks who grew up listening to the legends, so the success of the show is bittersweet being that I now doubt that we’ll see BET’s original concept come to light anytime soon since it’s been basically stolen..

Lift the lid and check out the new ‘Sisterhood’ as they chop it up about the show, Nicki Minaj, and competition amongst female MC’s..
