The first chick to ever be coined as a “video vixen”was the butter pecan bombshell Melyssa Ford who pretty much started and mastered the whole “desirable video girl” persona back in the 90’s by being the first to be in high demand for numerous rap videos and being paid top dollar for her appearances while also being offered spreads in all the major urban publications, prior to Melyssa raising the bar most chicks that appeared in rap videos were just considered “video hoe’s” and either appeared in the videos for free or had to sleep with the artists just to get camera time…
Ford held down her lane in the game for many years until the whole “Butt-injections” craze invaded the mainstream and pretty much gave almost any chick the ability to now be a “video vixen”, Ford has always been more of a breast girl so the booty craze kind of swept her to the side but the “vixen” originator is now ready to make a major comeback on the strength of reality television..More on this below
Ford and some other New York City career women have been grouped together in an attempt to film a Sex and the City-style (yes, another attempt) show about NYC it girls. It’s said to be about four or five women, who weren’t really friends beforehand (but viewers aren’t supposed to really know that), that got put together in the name of “sisterhood.”
According to sources, producers have gone to great lengths to orchestrate events like parties and galas to make sure there’s plenty of alcohol flowing and potential misbehavior. I haven’t heard about any fights just yet but it’s looking like the show will air on Bravo as soon as post production stuff (since they taped for most of the spring and summer) is finished. (AHH)
Get caught up on ex-basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams rumored reality show plans below…
Jennifer Williams is done with all the drama from Basketball Wives, but she’s still making the rounds on reality TV. She’s currently appearing on I Dream of Nene but the YBF is reporting that she’s working with Mona Scott-Young on her own show.
She didn’t release too many details about the show in the interview but she did mention that she has a new boo, she’s been hanging tough with Mashonda and Meeka Claxton (the one who caught major fade from Tami Roman on Basketball Wives) and she’s currently taping her new forthcoming show, so we’re just going to assume it’s the typical ish about getting her life in order after divorce and friendship drama.
