Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise under fire for “staged” scenes

Bravo’s ” Real Housewives” hit reality television series of shows are now at the center of controversy due to rumors of staging scenes and misleading viewers, the revelations have come to light after text messages from “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson were exposed showing that scenes were being fudged a little more than people would think.

Now when I think of fake reality shows I think about “Hardcore Pawn” on TruTV which is clearly scripted as well as pretty much every other show on that network, but the Bravo network never comes to mind when it comes to “fake” reality TV to be honest. I believe that most reality television is real but there are a few that’s just there for entertainment, like TruTv’s “Southbeach Tow” and Kim Kardashian’s “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” who were recently put on blast for being a complete fraud..

Gunvalson, 51, was shown on camera appearing to be stunned when her daughter Brianna Wolfsmith told her mother that she had secretly tied the knot with Ryan Culberson at a drive-through Las Vegas chapel. In a text message exchange between Gunvalson and her ex-lover Brooks Ayers from 2011, provided to Radar, the star laid bare how the reality televison sausage is made, confessing that she was preparing to film that scene — even though she already knew her daughter was married!

In June, we revealed how New York Housewives Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwell took instructions from producers, scheduled breaks in dialogue to wait for camera setups and shot multiple takes while filming in Southampton. Cast and crew for Jennifer Lopez’s South Beach Tow were caught on camera in June last year doing what skeptical fans had long suggested, while Kim Kardashian also once shot a scene with her momager Kris Jenner about wanting a divorce – after she had already filed. That car scene was filmed at a soundstage in Los Angeles!

Russell Jay, a producer on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, later testified under oath that there were at least two scenes that were “scripted, re-shot or edited” to make Kim’s ex-husband Kris Humphries, 28, look like the villain.(RadarOnline)
