The Rap Game Season 5 Episode 6 – ‘Def 25’

On episode 6, Hip Hop superstar Lil Jon celebrates So So Def’s 25th anniversary as a shocking writing scandal makes waves throughout the house. Meanwhile, two artists go head to head in a battle that threatens to shatter a friendship.

  • Bella Vicious

Amayah should just write for other artists… because girl you ain’t got it on stage sorry

  • Pebbles

Yeah! He is good ! I found him on YouTube .. if Eli could do what he does.

He would sweep. The whole thing

  • Juanita Applebaum

They were hating before the glo up she is the best rapper, she is just insecure about her weight. April still didnt style her right but Im rooting for her in general. Nya got a sideshow bob hairdo and act like she is breaking swag records, I agree with @kneesee too cocky.

  • Tima Yangala

He would have easily won this season

  • Tima Yangala

They really need to bring back the Prince of NY to show these kids how u suppose to battle rap.

  • Dijonee Chester

Amayah!!!! Baby sis!!!!! She just frustrated the entire shit out of me. I’m rooting for her. It’s not even about the number one spot, but that fact that she pretty much proved Sire’s loud ass mama right is FRUSTRATING! Her dad was absolutely right at the end. She got lazy. If ya’ll are doubting me and questioning my character and integrity, I’m goin call ya’ll to court QUICK. She can’t (obviously) continue to do things the same ways as the girl who lacked confidence and is afraid. I need her to get it together. I’m personally rooting for her but I also like Eli & Nya for it.

  • Jenny Nduta Gorvieh

Noo not the white uber driver lol I effs with Eli. i tried to rap i stuttered it aint for me lol Amayah need to slow it down.

  • Jenny Nduta Gorvieh

well breathe! imf spitting out statements like blow fish, forget the periods you sounding like my mother and my older sister ! STOP IT LOL

  • Averywest

To me Sire is the only star out of the group, talent is only a small percentage of being a celebrity and he clearly has the IT FACTOR

  • Scarlette

Yea Amaya would slay as just a writer

  • Scarlette

Yea JD must be playing favortism

  • Rokses

Facts. Last season wasn’t that great either, but this cast is even worse.

  • FighterMom2011

I thought Amaya did a good job at the block party. I don’t know if her rap was pre-written or not. If she had raps written ahead of time specifically for the show then I don’t think that’s bad. Of course writing ahead of time might not work because you never know what the topics are going to be. I think what I remember JD say in the past is for the kids not to recycle raps. I take that to mean if you’ve performed it, posted it or used it on the show before then don’t use it again. If it’s something pre-written that you’ve never released in some way, then I don’t see that as wrong. Also I think it’s a little bit odd that everyone was ok with Amaya and Tyeler battling for #1 even though it seemed there was no tie this week (according to JD). I would have thought Nya and her mom would have taken issue with that because if Nya came up higher in the list than Tyeler, then why wasn’t it Nya with an opportunity to battle. Personally if I were Nya or her mom in that instance, I would felt like if anyone was gonna battle for number 1, it should be the one in the #2 spot. IMO it’s kind of random letting the #3 person battle for #1.

  • Mrs.Yummie

I think they get a deal to put out a few songs and $100,000. I could be wrong tho

  • Tima Yangala

Honestly I think this is the worst season ever performance wise the ppl who can perform lyrically are weak ppl who can’t perform got the best lyrics it’s all a mess

  • Tima Yangala

I just wanted amayah to say my verse is the best and yahll was wack just except that

  • Tima Yangala

I can’t wait until they switch kids and managers and how often do main stream rappers battle anyway it’s entertaining but unnecessary

  • Straightshooter

Why would anyone want to work with a artist who has no room to go and think they got it all figured out already.

  • Straightshooter

Amayah Honey keep doin ya thing. I love a underdog!

  • Yetunde

    London and Brandy are rude.

  • Yetunde

I don’t know if Amayah’s verse was pre-written or not but does that really matter? She was the best on that performance and deserved to be number 1. I was really disappointed with JD’s response to their sniping at her. He made his decision and he is the judge. They’re all jealous. What does it matter that she can’t battle rap? How many rappers today can battle rap?
Having said that, I do think that Amayah would be better off as a writer and less of a performer.

  • Straightshooter

Shameful! Eli’s Daddy aint acting like that. All that yelling and cussing is unecessary. smh

  • Straightshooter

Damn Amayah if you can write like this you good! The whole battle rap element is pointless.

  • JoeBlunt

I feel bad for her cause she’s nit even strong enough for this competition

  • Dee Cade

Amayah got bars but she definitely a writer first. That’s probably more lucrative than being a rapper these days.

  • Rokses

But she really was not. But dad should look into her kack of confidence cause her 5 min crutch ‘the red hair’ is gone now too.

  • Joshua Baptist

I love how amyah thought she was staying at number 1. You had all that confident and you lost it cuz of using too much confident.

  • Rokses

Amayah is the best lyricist, she clearly can’t rap. Maybe dad should consider a different manager if only confidence is the issue.
Those 2 moms tho. Just too eager.

  • Rokses

Wrong, JD gave Amaya the chance to prove her haters wrong. Ofcourse it was suspect how everything went too smooth for her. what is JD going to do with an artist like that choking all the time. Amaya is weak as fuck to let the number 1 spot be stolen from her. I mean give it away so damn easy. But maybe she can write for JD in future, there’s good money in that too if not better.

  • Sweetie

Swear I was thinking the SAME THING!

  • AnViBoQuam

Amayah should consider writing for artists. I’m bored of all the stumbling and excuses.

  • Jus post my damn comment

That one girl Nia look like she got a thought bubble floating over her head

  • I mentioned the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Some people love being victims (as if deserving of a trophy) and just can’t open their eyes, look around or walk a mile in other people’s shoes to see that they are not the Ultimate Victim of All Time. …If Sire’s poverty story is typical, whose fault is that? Brandi’s!!

  • …yep, Brandi and a couple more of ’em are racist as f*ck, and the hypocrisy (excuses and justifications) surrounding that fact makes me laugh!

  • Ding!

How some of these parents act (and the lessons they’re instilling in their children) is absolutely base and disgusting. The initial lessons should always be: 1) working hard and doing your best, and 2) treating others with respect.

  • Jordan Washington

Exactly! He was weak for that! You don’t give into temper tantrums, PERIOD.

  • Giving in to that bullshit turned me all the way off, and I lost respect for JD (not that I had that much to begin with)!

  • Tasha Uniquely-Tatted Sullivan

Sire does look like a lot of rappers and doesn’t even know his style. The stylists are the ones that cute his hair, so why tf would it matter? The bitch was being racist point, blank, period! You must be tuned into some other shit! That bitch whines about a WHITE KID stealing her son’s style, having a higher placement on the fkn charts and complaining about Eli’s background? Oh fkn please! She don’t have much to say when it comes to the black kids, but steady hating on Amayah and Eli! Yeah, okay!

  • Tasha Uniquely-Tatted Sullivan

So white kids dont go through abandonment from one or both parents? It happens to a lot of people not just white or black, so why in tf would it be such a huge surprise?

  • Jordan Washington

Tyeler’s(however you spell her name) verse was weak AF in that battle. If Amaya had her shit together, she would’ve annihilated her weak rap. Also, I don’t recall any time prior that JD gave into a contestant’s hissy fit just because she didn’t get number 1. Stop whining and start having more substance in your verses, tyeler.

  • Shaznai Polo

Amaya’s dad said Sires mum ‘is a white lady full of shit, that’s why she’s so brown!’ Lol rude.
Amayas verse rocked that beat, like it was made for it. If anything Sire and Eli should’ve battled for the number four spot.

  • Julienne Trotter

I feel like if Ahmaya doesn’t win she will definitely have a career as a writer she is so good. The energy that Tyler and Nya Bring is undeniable and thats where they give Ahmaya competition. Eli and Sire are going to fall short because all the girls bring better content

  • Bey Martinez

I absolutely love this show. Amayah, please go back to Miami…..please!!!! Tyeler, if you don’t get your bars up girl!!!! Humility is what’s going to help you win your battles not cockiness. Brandi, Sis you’re going to catch a fade if you don’t calm the fuck down. Shut the fuck up!!!

  • kneesee

In my opinion, none of them are ready. Amaya is the best but cant perform she needs to write everybodys rap in order for this show to keep up. The person to me who has the best chance is Eli…he has the lyrics and with practice can be a great performer. The SIRA belongs on TV…very entertaining and the other 2 ladies are just to cocky to mention.

  • QBee

Are they not allowed to come with pre-written…either way.Amaya’s bars for the group performance was better than the others…JD’s. Right..I couldn’t hear Sire’s bars…Tyler is mediocre with her bars and London’s mouth…lips to chin reminds me of Daffy Duck.

  • mish mash

Bye bye Amaya. You’re a lyricist, not a performer. Ghostwriters get paid well.

  • Petty Assassin

I would LOVE to see Deetranada assassinate Tyler, Nya and Sire!!!

  • SweetRose Fox

By amayah stumbling she should be automatically been demoted to #5

  • Jayla Ardacia Fox

I just don’t like how they did Amya period

  • LOOKIE LOOKIE

Y’all really stay hating on Nya’s confidence ass…

  • DeAsia Hutchinson

    This Amaya mess.making me nervous

  • Shacora L Jones

She didnt have to give it up. She just had to fight for it like many of the other kids had to do on previous episodes. && she choked as usual.

  • Shacora L Jones

I just said the same exact thing. Also when they did the makeovers and told Sire his style was basic && like every other rapper they have seen. But gave Eli that same exact makeover and praised him for it && for now looking more like a “rapper”. I can’t stand that woman but she was speaking nothing but the truth!

  • Shacora L Jones

I can’t stand Sire’s mom! She is annoying af && detremintal (spellcheck) to her child’s success. HOWEVER, in that situation she was completely right && that shit was NOT racist. It’s true. Everyone was so impressed with eli’s story because it was coming from a white boys mouth. But that’s the daily struggle of many many little black children. Also when she said they said Sire’s style was like every other rapper they have seen. But praised Eli for the same exact style when they did makeovers. She was spitting the TRUTH. That’s not racist that’s a clear and obvious observation.

  • charlie

I thought I heard the nigga word

  • Shacora L Jones

Everything u said was spot on!! You summed up everything perfectly!

  • charlie

She’s not racist. She spoke the truth. His story is a story a lot of black people can tell, wasn’t nothing extra.

  • Doris G

Amayah need her confidence to come up!!!!

  • cocaína.maui.wowie

Aha word I can def agree with you on that I hate when they do my boy Eli like that

  • Shacora L Jones

Absolutely! A lot of famous writers have ghost writers. She should look into pursuing that because she obviously can not deliver.

  • Shacora L Jones

I agree. Amayah definitely proved their point. I strongly believe her verse for the song was a rap she already had memorized before the show. She is a dope writer though and has bars but literally NONE of that matters if she can not deliver. She chokes on every single episode. She honestly just needs to GO home at this point. She’s not cut out for this

  • Shacora L Jones

Girl you gotta slow down when you type. Add some periods here && there or something lol

  • Shacora L Jones

Amayah needs to go… she’s gotten enough chances already. I’m usually rooting for the underdog but I’m over her now. && im also convinced her verse was pre-written. Cus ain’t no way in hell she can’t remember shit through the whole season… But remembered that entire 16 bar verse after a bus ride. I’m not falling for it. && her cheating to win… Nope she gets no points for that. She’s not cut out for this. Send her home JD n stop wasting time. It’s very clear she’s not gonna win this season! Sad part is she holds her own self back. There’s no point of being a dope rapper if u can not deliver. Period.

  • Shacora L Jones

I love how Eli and his father always take the advice and criticism they receive humbly with no complaints. No matter what spot they get they accept it, listen, and try to learn from it. Much respect for that… unlike Sire’s mom of course

  • Shacora L Jones

Sire dresses like it’s 2005 lol

  • Shacora L Jones

Quick question: what does the winner win? I know they get a “chain” && this show is good exposure (which is worth it to me) but do they really get a deal && signed to So So Def?? Just asking because it seems like the previous winners are more so independent artist. But then again I’m 27 lol I really don’t keep up with the music these kids put out so I’m not too knowledgeable about what happens after the show. But I’m curious. Anyone know?

  • Shacora L Jones

Whew… I could not imagine staying in a house with Sire’s mom one night… let alone 2 weeks. That woman never shuts tf up! She would drive me INSANE

  • Chianya

Amayah needs to go home, she’s not ready

  • shasyl

They are hungry for that fame so it’s blinding them and they will step on anyone to get there just trifling

  • shasyl

For real like wtf is going on with these ghetto ass mamas.

  • NiHi

Somebody needs to give Nya’s mother a makeover because she dresses younger than her daughter. What person her age that’s no in school walks around wearing a backpack? I like all the kids, but feel the winner should be Nya or Eli.

  • jay reflex

    Team Sire!!

  • rp

She is the better rapper, her father needs make practice in front him, so that she will not choke all time!!!

  • Queen Beez

nobody happy for amayah, coming up with all kinds of excuses for her being dope! HATERS
AHHHH HAAAA BRANDYYYY SIRE GOT #5 LMAO she’s a b*tch
Amayah the better female rapper in the house PERIOD she’s lyrically more mature than the others

  • rp

Amayah should have not have to give up her number one spot, just b/c the parents and other competitors felt that she did not belong their!!!

  • Eb R. B.

They are hating sooooo hard on Amayah’s glow up! Not a good look lol

  • Jenny Nduta Gorvieh

why they ganging up on amayah? tyler is mad chick like she my super sweet 16 dramatic accusing her she pre written her lyrics i believe amayah need to work and not stress and butchering her bars take your time have practice one on one nobody in the room if she goes home remember once you got it in the next season or so she’ll become confident the malfunction stumbling gotta go girl!!! i love you tho lol

  • Jaccy

I was now nervous at that battle than the rappers

  • Tima Yangala

I honestly dont care I still rather hear amayah’s lyrics over any of the other kids if u don’t mess up but what u say is wack ur like a comedian who’s jokes just wasn’t funny

  • Tima Yangala

He said thats why her color is soo bright she’s a racist white lady who talk a lot of shit something like that

  • Pebbles

I don’t know what he said racist or not but he told her to be quite and mind her business and guess what she shut the hail up.

She wasn’t motor mouth with like she did Eli father … people know who to or not go off on

  • Josie da Goddess

I believe Amayah is very talented in terms of writing…she is a great lyricist. Shiiiddd it’s a lot of money to be made also bring a writer as well.

  • Truth

like i said Amayah is a good writer just stick to writing nothing wrong with that…at this point im pulling for Tyieler…Nya is irritating to watch she arrogant…Eli needs more practice…Sire needs focus…but the saddest thing is that these are children and it just shows HOW much affect and influence the parents have on them…Tiyeler is truly a good kid with great professionalism and i can see the work ethic she already posesses at her age she dont need her mother acting a fool around here and Sire he’s a good kid too but the mother STFU seriously ur gonna ruin this child putting that much pressure on him and pissing off everybody around…and so is Eli a good kid now he’s out here talkin bout he needs to stop being mr.nice guy NO baby even if u dont win you’ll KNOW in ur heart u didnt compromise ur character to win like some parents teaching their children…damn there’s a bigger picture here PARENTS need to teach their children to have integrity character and treat another with love and respect cuz a competition is here today gone tomorrow but HOW you made another person feel or HOW you impacted them will last a lifetime!!!and thats in real LIFE!!!

  • Josie da Goddess

Yea what did he say…I was wondering the same??!!!

  • Trixy Lerue Reyes

Smdh why amayah cant just be prepared this week… everyone was prepared the last few weeks no one said they was pre-writing… smdh let her have confidence finally

  • cocaína.maui.wowie

Ummmmm Amaya’s daddy wtf was that lowkey racist shit he said about sire mom lol

  • GMoney

It’s time for Amayah to go home. She’s not ready. Period. It’s ok. Go home & perfect your craft. Or be a songwriter like someone below said. She could make stacks. I do feel like Tyler was #1 though. That west coast flow on this song was aight lol. She’s the most polished to me. Nya was good too but sire did deserve 5. I ain’t understand that shit neither lol

  • Juanita Applebaum

If Amayah could get her stuff together she could win it, she has the best lyrics week after week if you listen. Tyler is delusional she can perform but the rap was wack, Nya said future so many times wack, eli was not memorable and you couldn’t hear Sire. Amayah should just ask to get a job as a writer she would make more anyway.

  • Pebbles

Amaya proved everyone point is if it not pre written she chocke every time she has to come off her head
